Disciplinary council

Mandate

The Disciplinary Council is informed of all formal complaints filed against a professional who has committed an offence within the meaning of the Professional Code, the Midwifes Act and the Code of ethics or regulations adopted under these laws.

When a formal complaint is filed with the Disciplinary Council, particularly by the Board of Syndics, the Disciplinary Council holds a hearing.

The Council is made up of three midwives nominated by the Board of Directors of the OSFQ and a president designated by the government, the nominations concern practising attorneys with at least ten years of experience at the Barreau du Québec.
